TheHomeMag Northern California Becomes First Certified Carbon Balanced Magazine

“World Land Trust has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of”

- Sir David Attenborough

TheHomeMag of Northern California proudly becomes the first magazine to partner with Hudson Printing, embracing carbon balanced printing. This collaboration, alongside our use of recycled paper, signifies a monumental step towards eco-friendly practices. We aim to lead by example, inspiring other magazines to embrace environmentally responsible printing.

As members of this program, our carbon footprint has been measured, then offset those emissions with the global conservation group World Land Trust to become a certified Carbon Balanced Printer.

World Land Trust uses funds raised through the program to protect and restore threatened natural habitats in Vietnam, Mexico, Ecuador and Guatemala. By protecting these areas of high biodiversity and the species within them, World Land Trust preserves important ecosystems while preventing the release of CO2 into the atmosphere through deforestation and degradation.

The amount of carbon offset by Hudson is equivalent to the preservation of 834,013 m2 of land, or the area covered by 156 NFL football fields.

Through this strategic partnership, we are demonstrating our commitment to innovation and sustainability, leading the charge towards a more sustainable future in publishing. Our efforts to minimize environmental impact not only position us as industry leaders but also reflect our core values of responsibility and stewardship towards the planet.

Join us in this exciting journey as we continue to innovate and pave the way for eco-friendly practices in the publishing sector. Celebrate with us as we make strides in sustainability, proving that together, we can make a difference.
